Hey--I was looking for a get-well card for Sooz and was wondering if there are any that express: GetWell/It's St. Patrick's Day cards--but they don't exist! Extremely happy--that's not the word--ecstatic--that Sooz is doing so well, and happy birthday to Rob, and also my buddy Bill Weathersby has his birthday on March 8--good month for good people with birthdays--with best hopes for everyone --

Happy Birthday Uncle Rob!

Yeah, it's Susi's blog, but can still send best wishes out to her only brother Robert on what I recall is his birthday.

Great News!

Pathology is finally back and the results are in... NO SIGN OF ANY MORE CANCER! Only required further treament: check up once a year.

They're going to start disconnecting her from all her tubes tomorrow and take a chest x ray. After monitoring how everything goes for a bit, she'll be given her ticket home, earliest Wed, maybe Thursday.

When not resting, she'll probably be reading voraciously - any good books would be much appreciated.

Looks like everyone's prayers and good wishes came through with flying colors! Thank you, everyone, for your support and caring.

Sat

Dick & I got to see Ma/Sooz sitting up today, and later when we called to check in after we returned to Kent she was getting ready to take a walk down the hall. It's important that she stays up for periods of time to help her lungs drain. But she tires easily, and was ready for a rest after visiting with us briefly. She has a semi private room and her roommate is quite nice, having celebrated her 91st bday there yesterday. The doc says she'll be there a few days, but we didn't have a chance to talk to him directly. Thank you for the stack of cards here at the house, we'll share them with her tomorrow.
Love to all,
Marg
Well, I agree with Laura! Sooz, you are the best, and everyone loves you so much that the whole town WILL descend on you when you get home. Bringing friends, too! And with your large family, you will be mobbed..... We've talked about learning to say "no!", remember? This will be your big test, and I know you can do it. After all, you got through surgery, right? Saying one small word oughta be a piece of cake. Speaking of which, I saw some yummy looking cake at the Villager, and we never did get together after I got back from vacation, so cake at Tony's is on me when you feel like saying "yes". But only after you say "no" first. Love you lots. Come back soon - I can't keep my Kent history facts straight without you! Marge M.

Sorry it's taken me so long to post this; Dick emailed some people and I haven't had a chance to sit at my computer... Ma's surgery went well and she was to be moved into her recovery room at 11 am. I haven't heard anything since so I assume all is well. Thanks for all of your concerns and good wishes. After I see her tomorrow around lunchtime, I will post some more info.
Not sure if I'm working this whole blog correctly, but checking to make sure that Sooz is doing fine. JPR
